Delineations Group Show @ Ad Hoc Art in Brooklyn

Opening on January 16th in Brooklyn is " Delineations " a group show brought to you by Ad Hoc Art. Here's what they have to say about the show and whose participating.Ad Hoc Art is proud to present "Delineations": a collection of drawings and illustrations from a diverse group of international artists.  Drawing has been and will always be a fundamental part of the art-making process.  Starting as far back as the 1400's, artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, Michelangelo, and Raphael used drawing as not only a starting point but as a way to communicate things which could not be accomplished in any other medium. Fast forward to the 1900's as artists such as Max Beckmann, Jean Dubuffet, Arshile Gorky, M. C. Escher, André Masson, and Pablo Picasso not only continued this serious examination of drawing as fine art, but took it to incredible new places through their creativity and talent.  In more recent times artists such as Marcel Dzama, R. Crumb, Dan Clowes, Joe Sacco, Yoshitomo Nara, and Julie Doucet (among many, many others) again redefined how we look at drawing as not only a means to an end but an important and impressive end in itself.  Continuing with this amazing tradition, we present to you a new generation of drawers and illustrators who hope to not only add to this amazing lineage of artists but to also find ways to reinvent and reinterpret how drawing can be used to communicate and enlighten. "Exodus From the Land of Play" This print will be a whopping 13 color screen print, on Rising Stonehenge 250gsm, it's 100% cotton, the Image size will be : 28x23.75. and the Finished print size: 33x30 (the original is 5 feet by 6 feet and every tiny detail has been captured), THERE WILL ONLY BE 76 copies of this print made, many have already been reserved for friends and family, so be warned , if you sleep on this one, don’t bitch to me later, I’m flying to Minnesota in December to inspect, sign and maybe draw or paint on some or all of these prints. DATA @ Auction Saboteur

Data is a South London street artist who gains inspiration from geometry, colour and space. He combinines organic forms, design and mixed mediums to demonstrate the decay of nature in urban surroundings. Data's work mixes chaos with structure giving an overall clean intricate image. His work has recently been celebrated on wooster collective. We really like it too, we have seen the canvas's in person and they are really are quite lovely, they are quite large, crisp and bright. For the price, quite a bargain really.

Hush Print INFO

Naughty Boys II (pictured) is the first one, from an edition of just 15 and priced at £250.  Both prints are hand finished screen prints,  Little Angels has more individual work done to each piece than Naughty Boys II. Ten of each print will be released on the night to the throng of hopefuls, with the other five released the next day on the Opus.  Little Angels (Blades) is the other, can be viewed after the jump and similarly is from an edition of 15, but this time priced at £300.

This was produced for Evan’s upcoming show at MatherKunst in Amsterdam (a new gallery from one of the Andenken owners).  The brown version is limited to 20 pieces and is $175, the white is limited to 100 and will be $100.  Half of the run was printed at 40cm x 50cm and will be available by shooting MatherKunst an email this Friday (October 24).  The other half of the run was printed at 16″ x 20″ and will be for sale stateside that same day at AndenkenShop.com.
